Reminder that strength and conditioning started back up today for our athletes in incoming grades 7-12. Come on up to stay strong! Remember also that girls coaches are gone to coaching clinic this week but girls and boys will workout together. Athletes need to drive around back directly to the weight room instead of meeting in the gym this week.
Veribest Athletic summer strength and conditioning and skill work will be cancelled for this Wednesday and Thursday due to chemical treatments being done during those two days at the school. Reminder that we will not be having workout the week of July 4 either. Enjoy your time off and look forward to seeing you all on July 11!
Reminder: The school building will be closed to EVERYONE on Thursday, June 30 for fogging. The building will remained closed until July 11. Have a wonderful 4th of July!
All transfer decisions, besides PreK, have been emailed. If you have not received yours, please check your junk folder.
VISD was proud to see Kennadi and Marcus getting to participate in such an uplifting week with the FCA Allstars in Abilene for Volleyball and Football! Both of these young people represented the Falcons very well. Great job to both of you!
The Veribest FFA Chapter will be hosting a bake sale on June 18, 2022. It will be held at the Julio's Burritos on 29th Street. This bake sale will be to help our officer team raise funds to offset the costs of attending the Texas FFA Convention in Fort Worth. See attached flyer for more details. Thank you for supporting our members.
Our athletes started our VISD summer workouts this morning. We had 36 kids here! That’s a great start. 🏃🏋️♀️
We will have workouts starting at 8:30 on Monday - Thursday on various weeks this summer. When your athlete comes, they can grab a calendar with more info on it as well.
We look forward to seeing our workout numbers increase even more. We want our athletes to grow during this time as athletes and young men and women while also getting the vacation time and rest that they need. If you have any questions, please contact your child’s coach.
This week at school, current 6th graders were given an UIL physical and medical history form. Any incoming 7th grader who plans to play any sport for a school needs get their physical before the first day of school. This physical will be done on your own through a physician of your choosing. If your child comes to school without their physical paperwork completed, they will miss part of the athletic period workouts and/or after school workouts which may cause them to miss being on a team. If your child has lost their paper, you may pick one up in the office with Mrs. Leah or print these two forms from the UIL website. If you have any questions, please call the school to speak to Coach Richards.
