VISD will have a walk thru send off for our state golfers and state tracksters on Thursday at 1:30 pm. Parents may join us in the cafeteria for the walk thru. Let’s go Falcons! Show our athletes that are headed to compete at the state level some Falcon pride and Falcon cheering! Good luck to these athletes and coaches at the state level!

We would like to invite everyone to the Veribest FFA Chapter Banquet on Thursday, May 5th. The banquet will begin at 6:30 pm and it will be held at the Tom Green County 4-H Building. All students that participated in LDE's, CDE's, stock shows or received their welding certification will be recognized. We encourage all these members to be present. A pork loin meal will be provided for free for all FFA members and $10 per plate for everyone else. We look forward to seeing everyone there.

Regional track results:
Tylie competed in high jump along with Ed in the 3200 and 1600. We look forward to seeing them there again next year being even stronger! Hunter competed in the 400 and had his personal best in the semis. Even though he didn’t make it to finals on day two, we are excited to see how his times continue to improve in the coming years! His experience at the Regional meet this year will prepare him to compete even stronger in the future. Konnor competed in the triple jump and the 110m hurdles this year at the Regional meet. He had personal bests in both of his events which helped him earn 5th place in each event in the finals! What a way to end your high school athletic career! Great job to Konnor and all of these athletes.
Alliyah, who competed at state last year in long jump, triple jump, and the 800, will be competing at state this year in triple jump, 800, 400, and 200! She earned Regional Champion in all three of her running events! She’s such a tough competitor. She had personal bests at Regionals in her 400 and 200 during the semis. The Lady Falcons competing at Regionals with only two female athletes earned 38 points to earn 4th place as a team!
All of VISD is proud of all of our athletes who continue to work hard to reach their goals for themselves and for their teams! Let’s go Falcons!

Our coaches are extremely proud of all of our track athletes who competed at our Regional track meet at ASU this weekend! Several of our athletes had personal bests this weekend. What a great time of year to bring your best! Full results of all of the Veribest competitors will be released once we receive official results from ASU.
We are also extremely pleased to announce that we will be following Alliyah to the state meet again this year…in 4 events! Today she got 2nd in triple jump, 1st in the 800, 1st in the 400, and 1st in the 200. 🏅

Early voting began on Monday and runs through May 3rd at the Keyes building in San Angelo. Election day is May 7, 2022.

Congratulations to the lady falcons placing second at the regional tournament and advancing to State!! The girls had their two lowest rounds of the year and will be headed to the state tournament on May 16-17. Great job lady falcons!!!
Athletes currently in grades 8 and 10 (and others who have had a major injury or surgery this last year) who are planning to get a physical through Shannon Sports Med need to return their signed Medical History form to Coach Richards by 8:00 am Tuesday morning. We have to get their height and weight and screen their answers to ensure Shannon will do the physicals. We also have to notify teachers of who will be out for physicals. We will leave school on Wednesday at 9:00 am to bus the athletes who have turned in their signed Medical History form to the location of physicals. Please ask your students for this form tonight if you haven’t already seen it. Thank you!
